This painting was commissioned by Mr. Ron Cogbill, a college fraternity brother at Cal
Poly Pomona, back in the 60's.   I have to say that it was a joy to do a painting that
represented not only an aspect of Ron's history, but of mine as well.  A rare commission
    opportunity.

Ron also wanted to have limited edition prints of the painting available for other Kappa
Sigma Phi brothers who were active around 1965.  A very considerate idea.

Purvis Gallery in Upland Ca. helped me create beautiful 18" x 24" gicle'e (pronounced:
ghee-clay) reproductions on canvas.   The signed and numbered edition of 30 can be
owned only by the Kappa Sig brothers of the era.

Thanks to Ron again for such a fun and personally meaningful project.  And to any of
the guys who might find their way to this page, thanks for the priceless memories.

Couldn't help but add this (You Tube) clip from a Fraternity reunion party over 25 years ago . It's of Ron and I giving our best to "What's Your Name"      We sang it way back when and time has not improved the performance; but as always,  Beer makes it seem so. . .
